Andrew Corton
Biography
Andrew is a Planning and Delay expert who specialises in independent expert delay analysis, plus third-party expert advice and the preparation and management of claims and planning services, concerning major construction, and engineering projects throughout the UK, Middle East, Americas, Africa, and Asia.
During his 30+ years’ experience of the construction and engineering industries, Andrew has been engaged by contractors, subcontractors, private and public sector employers, and insurers.
Andrew’s formative years in the construction industry were spent working as a site-based planning and productivity controller in the United Kingdom. This led to (site-based and head office) senior planning roles with international contracting organisations in the Middle East, Caribbean, and India.
Over the last 16 years Andrew has specialised in providing programme/delay consultancy services including, pre-contract and post-contract construction planning advice, project progress audits, delay analysis for contractual claims and at arbitration.
Andrew boasts strong leadership and management skills and has assisted colleagues with their career development arising from his array of technical and soft skills which encompass diverse project and disputes-based experience of construction and engineering methods, across many sectors of the built environment. This is complimented with a background spanning tender planning, equipment selection, temporary works planning, baseline programming and remote post contract support to project teams; through which Andrew has learned to use the requisite industry standard software to perform, analyse, narrate, communicate and simplify complex programming and/or delay issues to all parties according to their needs and level of understanding the includes project teams, executives, legal teams and other consultants.
