Barry is an Associate Director with GMCS and a chartered quantity surveyor that has almost two decades of construction industry-related experience. He has been based in the Middle East region since 2008 and has experience in construction disputes, claim preparation and defence, contract administration, commercial management and assisting experts.

Barry has undertaken numerous claims appointments and has been involved in the preparation of documents for both arbitration and mediation. He also has experience in third-party determinations, providing claims advisory services and assessing financial positions and liabilities.

Barry has gained experience in a wide range of sectors, under various contract conditions and procurement routes. He has an excellent understanding of the contractual obligations of the parties and the commercial aspects associated with construction and has been responsible for managing a variety of commissions including the role of commercial director on distressed construction projects in Dubai.
