Gordon is one of the founding partners of GMCS, he has held directorships and senior management positions within major claims and dispute consultancies and contractors in the region since 1984 and has also worked for both contractor and consultancy firms in the Far East and the United Kingdom. His experience in the construction and engineering business stretches over 42 years.

Gordon specialises in the resolution of disputes that arise in the increasingly litigious construction and engineering market. His expertise includes the drafting of narratives and statements of entitlement, review of contractual obligations and rights and remedies, and the analytical review of construction programmes and establishment of cause-and-effect schedules to demonstrate delay and disruption. His experience of quantum claims in relation to disruption, prolongation and acceleration has led to his appointment as an Expert Witness on more than forty cases, where he has been cross-examined by the opposing party’s legal team on more than thirty occasions.

Gordon’s extensive regional experience, together with his analytical approach and extensive report drafting skills, makes him an asset to any dispute resolution process, either as a consultant, Expert Witness or Arbitrator. Gordon has an excellent track record in providing valuable assistance to Tribunals during the expert witness process, and as a Tribunal member and Chairman himself in DIAC, ICC, DIFC-LCIA and ADCCAC arbitrations. He has extensive knowledge of the construction and engineering industry with vast experience in the MENA region, a proven resolver in negotiating settlement via mediation and other forms of ADR.

Gordon has also been recognised in Who’s Who Legal a number of times.
