Colin Smith retires after over 8 years working at GMCS.
Colin retired at the end of 2020 after a 40-year career based in the Middle East since originally moving to Jordan in 1981. Gordon and Mark are grateful for Colin’s leadership over the last 8 years as Executive Director. Colin demonstrated commitment, compassion and forward-thinking as the needs of the company changed since launch. He has left his stamp on the company and has provided great mentorship and inspiration to all his colleagues.
Colin said that “having served 8 years as Executive Director for GMCS and nearly four decades in the Middle East, I feel this is the right time for a change. Therefore, I will be retiring and hanging up my boots after all these years in this wonderful country. My time at GMCS has been a source of pride in being part of such a successful company which has grown from strength to strength, despite the recent impact of Covid-19, to become a market leader in construction dispute resolution throughout the Middle East region and beyond. It has been a privilege to help manage this great company and I am proud of the people in GMCS and the clients we are supporting.”

Colin has great knowledge and with his contribution over the last 8 years, GMCS is now a key player in the industry here in the Middle East.
